Rokytička, dětský soubor písní a tanců [ Folklore group FoS CZ ]
In Rokycany, the town situated in a lovely landscape beneath the mysterious Žďár hill, works a famous folklore ensemble named Rokytička. The Rokytička has been performing songs, dances and feast customs from Rokycany surroundings, but also of South Bohemia and Chodsko for over 15 years. This dance group was estabilished in 1991 by Mrs Božena Auterská as a child part of the Rokytka ensemble. Since 1993 there has also worked bagpipe folk music under Jana Nejdlová’s leading. Nowadays the leader of the grown-up group is Ivana Šiková. The ensemble presents older works as:" Little Peasant, On the Wolf’s Meadow" and the traditional ones as:" Mumbler, Legs shaking, Country polkas" as well as new pieces learnt under the leading by Mr. and Mrs. Bláhovi:"The three dances from Rokycany, Songs about food, Rokycanské zmateníky. The Rokytička has already managed a lot of routines on the festivals both in the Czech Republich and abroad.
